Cowgirl Like Me, vol.2
This is my second cowgirl collage, an exercise in creative opposites where I worked digitally with vintage imagery to compose my version of the modern cowgirl. This piece contains some beautiful symbols of the American west with nods to Sapphic cowgirl lusting, highlighting the importance of queer culture in spaces traditionally dominated by heteronormativity. Our subject is anchored by pink triangles, the symbol assigned to our queer family during the holocaust, unfortunately not dissimilar to the trajectory of our current administration.
